About This Website

The content of this website was written by Sandy Deja, who has
specialized in non-profit tax issues since 1974. As an IRS Exempt
Organizations Specialist from 1974 to 1986, Sandy reviewed thousands
of applications for 501(c)(3) status, audited hundreds of tax and
information returns filed by non-profits, and trained other IRS
agents in Exempt Organizations tax law.

Since leaving the IRS in 1986, Sandy has prepared 501(c)(3)
applications for over a thousand non-profit clients, and reviewed
almost as many prepared by "Do-It-Yourselfers." She has taught
workshops on Form 1023 and other aspects of non-profit taxes for
diverse groups including the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, the American Association of Retired Persons, the
Washington State Bar Association, Children's Defense Fund, and the
Secret Masters of Fandom.

I hope www.form1023help.com has been useful for you.

I have had the privilege of working with non-profit organizations
since 1974. Although this work has been immensely satisfying, I am
no longer accepting new clients. I have decided it is time for me to
lay down tax consulting and pursue a livelihood writing and selling
tax books.

More praise for www.form1023help.com
(and for Sandy Deja's book).

If it weren't for your wonderful website, we wouldn't have gotten
[our 501(c)(3) status]!...the above site was so helpful and clear
that I think you should write a book.

Jeannine Lambert

Dear Visitor,

I took Jeannine Lambert's advice, and did write a book.
One reviewer said,"...its practical useful and easy to read.
Anyone trying to complete the paperwork to start a 501(c)(3)
would be well served to read this book for its step by step
guidance."

Visit www.501c3book.com for more about it.
